Seriously, folks. Have any of you read her interviews? Or checked out her answers on her website? I wrote things like that when I was in the fourth grade. I want to see something intelligent that this woman has created, said, anything. Let me rephrase that. I want to see something intelligent that this woman has created and NOT turned her fans against with a raging passion.
Edit Add: "My focus is the characters--that's the part of the story that is most important to me. I feel the best way to write believable characters is to really believe in them yourself. When you hear a song on the radio, you should know how your character feels about it--which songs your character would relate to, which songs she hates. Hear the conversations that your characters would have when they're not doing anything exciting; let them talk in your head, get to know them. Know their favorite colors and their opinions on current events, their birthdays and their flaws." -SMeyer.
Okay, HOW CAN YOU THINK THAT WAY AND END UP WITH EDWARD CULLEN?! Seriously. She obviously doesn't take her own advice, because her characters are no better than what's folded up in my dorm closet, waiting to be packed up when I go home.
(Cardboard, btw, for those who didn't catch that.)

Wait, oh yeah. He's a vampire, if you consider that a flaw, the way Meyer makes it seem, it makes it seem like heaven. (I personally would not surrender my mortality for a pansy of a boy like Edward.)
She makes girls think that you should do anything for a man, and chase him like a cat. (if that simile makes any sense) Did Edward have to lift a finger to get Bella to chase him? No. When I read books by female authors, I usually expect strong, female characters. None of this "Oh Edward! Save me! Save Me! Jacob! Come to me!"
Yeah, hanging out with some girls has really turned me against Twilight. They have NICKNAMES for Potter's sake! It's annoying! Speaking of which, how's that Twilight fan that lives in your dorm house coming?

"...Yeah. [Stephenie Meyer] says Edward [Cullen]'s flaw is that he overreacts to everything -- that he goes to extremes. And I'm like, umm.......b.....s...."

I also think he's incredibly rude and, pardon my French, a dumbass. But since SMeyer won't acknowledge that, it just makes her seem even stupider.
Vamps are hot, and that is never a flaw. Edward is not a vampire--he's a fairy with a blood fetish. [link] That makes him less desirable for me, but more desirable for most of the young chicks who posion their minds with Cullen crap.
Turns out, most of the girls on my floor have read Twilight. Not all of them are fangirls, though, thank goodness. The one girl that I posted about is actually really cool. We've stayed off of the topic of Twilight.
